The deadline for drawing and submitting draft maps passed on February 8, 2022 by 5 pm.

The City is providing mapping tools to empower members of the public to draw and submit their own proposed district maps. It is helpful if you submit written comments describing your map and why you chose to group specific neighborhoods or communities together into each district.

Mapping Tools

Interactive Review Map: a web application allows you to zoom in and out to view San Bruno’s demographic data on a map

Printable PDF maps for those without internet access or who prefer paper.

DistrictR: a simple online tool that allows you to “paint” your neighborhood, your community of interest, or a district map. No account or login is required to access the tool.

How to Submit Maps

You can submit your map electronically, by mail, or in person.

Email: districting@sanbruno.ca.gov

Submit by Mail or Drop Off in Person:
City Clerk’s Office
Attn: Districting
567 El Camino Real
San Bruno, CA 94066

All submissions are part of the public record and will be posted in their entirety to the Draft Maps page.

If you would like to submit a map created using your own software, please email to districting@sanbruno.ca.gov and include: (1) a GIS Shapefile and/or a Census Block equivalency file (using 2020 Census Blocks); and, (2) a description of the choices and key points of your map.
