San Bruno invites residents to join the Community Workshop to learn about the next steps in the districting process. During the workshop, community members will have an opportunity to share thoughts on specific neighborhoods and communities of interest. Communities of interest can include shared interests, social and civic networks, racial and ethnic compositions, cultural identities, socioeconomic status, etc. All community members are encouraged to participate by submitting a Community of Interest Worksheet at DistrictingSanBruno.org/COI-Worksheet.
The recording of the Community Workshop with the mapping tools tutorial will become accessible on DistrictingSanBruno.org/Schedule after the workshop. The public will have a few months to submit thoughts on communities of interest before the third hearing in January.
The City of San Bruno held its second Public Hearing on October 19 to educate community members about the districting process and solicit input on the composition of districts. All meeting recordings and resources are now available at DistrictingSanBruno.org/Schedule.
The City encourages people in the community to voice their opinions on the districting process by sharing ideas, defining communities of interest, and attending future workshops and public hearings.
